Returned to the Presidente Hotel for another dive.  We were on the waiting list for a 2-tank dive; however, the
Memorial Day holiday reservations were too full.  Other dive shops were also oversold.  Anyhow, the time was
spent at the pool and restaurant.  A brief walk around the hotel site encountered an Iguana "hotel" pyramid
                                                             and crabs working onto shore.

Time to leave Cozumel island and depart back to the mainland.  We encountered a scene reminiscent of the
Amazing Race - our taxi driver was extremely slow.  We explained to our older driver that our ferry would be
departing soon and his reply was "that the news made him nervous".  We watched several cars, bikes, and
people pass us.  We did arrive with 30 seconds to spare and completed the return ferry to Playa Del Carmen.

It was difficult to locate the Avis Car Rental kiosk and ended up using a taxi to the main Avis facility (pronounced
Ah-vis).  The staff was extremely pleasant; however, speed is not of the essence.  After several documents
signed, we were off in the four door Jeep Wrangler.

Driving from Playa Del Carmen to Tulum is easy and less than an hour.  Roads were concrete based; however,
road strips were not very clear.  Lanes have a large side that can accommodate slower vehicles are making left
turns - yes, use the right lane, slow down, wait for both lanes to clear, and turn left.  The majority of the traffic
                                                             is taxis and buses.

Arrived to the villa on Tankah Bay - the maintenance staff was still present and helped with luggage, including
a rope and pulley system to move luggage upstairs (The interior stairwell is not friendly for luggage).  Villa is
removed from being directly on the beach and uses a large Sea Oat type tree and burm for privacy.  From the
upstairs veranda and bedrooms, the view of the beach and Bay is endless.  We opened all the doors and windows
to allow the Mexican Caribbean winds to fill the house.

Kitchen is fully equipped and the refrigerator is stocked with the basics - six pack of Sol beer, six pack of Coke,
and one loaf of bread.  Next step was one (of many to come) visit to the San Francisco of Assisi supermarket.
Prices were very reasonable and included full service bakery, pharmacy, deli, and other needs.  To select bakery
items, one picks up a large pizza sized tray with tongs and stacks the items on the tray.  The tray is handed
back to the bakery staff and they bag and price.  Check out help included young children in their formal school
uniforms - common to tip a few Pesos when they complete bagging the groceries.

Back to the villa for chicken enchiladas and fresh salsa.
